Natural, unfiltered beauty—with real textures
Ever opened your COCO SALVAJE cream deodorant and spotted little white beads inside?
Don’t worry—your product is perfectly fine! It’s not expired, it’s not defective, and yes—it still works just as well.
Let us explain what those coconut beads are and why they’re actually a sign of purity.
So, what are those little beads?
What you’re seeing are tiny bits of crystallized coconut oil.
Our cream deodorant is made with natural ingredients like virgin coconut oil, which has amazing antibacterial, moisturizing, and soothing properties. And like any raw, unrefined ingredient, it can naturally change texture with temperature.
Why does this happen?
These little beads form when:
- Your deodorant goes through temperature changes, or
- It melts and resolidifies quickly
This causes the coconut oil to form solid particles.
It doesn’t affect the deodorant’s quality or effectiveness—in fact, it’s proof that we don’t use synthetic stabilizers or chemical additives.
How can I smooth it out?
- Just rub the product between your fingers until it softens.
- Prefer a smoother texture? Let your deodorant sit in a warm room, or gently warm the jar in a water bath (bain-marie), stir softly, and let it cool slowly. That’ll do the trick!
Does it always happen?
Not necessarily. It depends on where you live and how your product is stored.
In warmer climates, the texture stays creamy. In cooler temperatures or with quick temperature swings, the beads are more likely to appear.
Bottom line: real ingredients, real textures
At COCO SALVAJE, we choose to give you honest, natural, effective products—even if that means the texture isn’t always perfect.
Nature doesn’t need filters. And every jar of deodorant proves it.
